“WW212″ 36″ x 48” Commission piece featuring Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman.
As I was planning for this piece (and a forthcoming Iron Man), my client sent me a jpg he found off a google search. In turn, I updated the original composition with the latest Wonder Woman, Gal Gadot. Great reviews, as she portrayed a fierce and fearless super-heroine. To me, felt more like how it should have been in the beginning.
This piece was challenging due to size and complexity. Gal’s portrait was great and I finished it first. Had a few glitches to fix to be honest. Mixing in Wonder Woman Issue 212 and a few key Justice League characters featured on the original cover, THEN balancing the composition was difficult. However, it was good to stretch and learn.
I have never completed a piece this big with the amount of work involved. I’m going to estimate this took in the range of 80 hours, with around 40 in the last few days. My goal was to finish before Christmas in order to get ready for 2022. Finished on Christmas Eve!
